Carlsbad, Calif. – January 14, 2004 – MaintenanceNet™, the leading provider of maintenance contract management solutions, today has named Jeff Hasan Chief Technology Officer for MaintenanceNet. MaintenanceNet offers an online service application that connects manufacturers, distributors, value added resellers (VAR) and end-users to better facilitate the managing, marketing and selling of service contracts.

"Jeff Hasan plays an essential role in driving the next generation of our service application platform,” said Scott Herron, CEO & President of MaintenanceNet. “A proven technology expert, Jeff brings to MaintenanceNet a wealth of experience in creating state-of-the-art, high functioning yet intuitive web applications. Jeff is an innovator in these areas. We are excited to have him as part of our team."

Hasan was appointed to spearhead the development of the MaintenanceNet contract management service application. Hasan is an experienced enterprise architect and developer, focused on Microsoft .NET and server technologies. Also the President and founder of Bluestone Partners, Inc., a technology consulting company specializing in enterprise architecture and development using .NET, Hasan’s professional background includes extensive consulting experience with Fortune 500 level companies, including Verizon, Sony, Blue Cross Blue Shield and The Vanguard Group. He is the co-author of several books and articles on .NET technology, including "Performance Tuning and Optimizing ASP.NET Applications" (Apress, 2003) and "Expert Service Oriented Architecture in C#" (Apress, 2004). Jeff is a well known speaker at national technology conferences and at regional developer groups around the country.

MaintenanceNet™ helps customers increase revenue from the sale and renewal of service contracts on Information Technology hardware and software. The solution was designed to be a communication conduit between the manufacturer, distributor, VAR, and enterprise clients for increasing maintenance contract sales and renewals.

The MaintenanceNet service application provides for increased operational efficiencies, compliance & auditing capabilities, and predictability into revenue streams. Easy to implement MaintenanceNet is unique in that the data necessary to populate the service is gathered from direct data feeds from the equipment manufacturers. The manufacturer data is then combined with applicable information from each party in the supply chain establishing a standard system of record which accurately reflects the maintenance purchased through the supply chain.
